About Elisio
Elisio Almeida, born on August 23, 1978 in Alagoinhas, Bahia, Brazil, grew up in a solid and welcoming family environment. Raised on a farm with a large play area, Elisio developed an entrepreneurial spirit from an early age, inspired by the values and examples transmitted by his parents, José Souza Almeida and Marilene Almeida, and strengthened by living with his three siblings, Everton, Elder and Daisa.
A student at good quality schools, Elisio always showed an aptitude for learning, although he was not the most dedicated student. Since childhood, he showed his talent for business, selling scrap metal with his brothers to buy sweets, despite the family's financial stability.
Elisio has accumulated a variety of experiences, from selling fruit on the streets, which began as a profitable hobby, to becoming a musician at the age of 16, when he decided to leave home for the first time to follow his own path, beginning a diversified journey in the world of work, this time in a more serious way. Upon returning home, he ventured into photography, with the support of his mother, and worked selling beer with his brothers during Carnival, using his father's business location. His entrepreneurial journey continued with the setting up of a Silk Screen, with the help of his uncle Edvaldo Almeida, where he worked with his cousin Danilo Almeida, and a small grocery store, in partnership with his family, run by his uncle José Luis Almeida.
It was with the Pet Shop, however, that Elisio achieved his best results. This venture, also driven by the support of his uncle José Luis, allowed him to plan a new phase in his life, including the possibility of living abroad with his future family, a thought that came to him after marrying Aline Almeida and thinking about having children.
Elisio’s values are deeply rooted in his upbringing and the example of hard work he received from his parents. For him, keeping his word, valuing family, promoting justice and acting honestly are fundamental principles. His beliefs include the pursuit of peace of mind, commitment to his goals and persistence in the face of challenges.
The most difficult phase of his life occurred at the age of 22, when he and his brother Elder left the comfort of their parents' home to open a pet shop in the capital of Bahia. They faced financial difficulties, living and working in the same space with the company of their cousin Toni Almeida, saving as much as possible to build a new business. Despite the adversities, Elisio and his fellow travelers got through this period with ease and good humor, gradually achieving their goals, until, as a family business, they became one of the largest pet shop chains in Bahia, today with 19 large stores.
Music has always been a passion for Elisio, who played in a few bands before turning it into a hobby. Sports, especially Jiu-Jitsu, were also an important part of his life, although he has moved away from these activities to focus on work. He is currently trying to gradually return to these practices.
Elisio’s plans for the future are guided by a deep desire to support his children’s development. He believes in the importance of teaching them to achieve their own goals, while also working to enhance their abilities at the right time, avoiding over-facilitating that could hinder the development of essential characteristics such as strength and perseverance.
In his professional life, Elisio is passionate about calculations and projections, especially when it comes to real estate investments and business. His goal is to improve every day, living his work with satisfaction, aware that we spend more time working than with our families. He seeks balance and success, both personally and professionally, always guided by the values that have shaped him throughout his life.
